Celebrate the legacy of groundbreaking filmmaker and SFSU alumna Barbara Hammer (M.A., ’75) at a special screening of “Barbara Forever”* during Frameline50, the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival. Before the film, join fellow Gators for a reception and an opportunity to connect with the film’s director, Hammer’s partner and other community members ahead of this powerful tribute to one of queer cinema’s most influential voices. The screening takes place at the historic Castro Theatre and highlights Hammer’s pioneering impact through archival footage, personal reflections and intimate storytelling. The event is Thursday, June 25 from 7 – 11 p.m. Tickets are $15. The reception will be held within walking distance of the Castro Theatre.
