
Alumni-powered event: Everyday People Movement Club at Pistahan Parade

Fitness leader and alumnus John Peñacerrada (B.S., ’00; M.S., ’19) invites you to attend the San Francisco-based Everyday People Movement Club happening this weekend at the 32nd Annual Pistahan Parade. Meet at the Civic Center Plaza at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9. Parade along Market Street to Yerba Buena Gardens starting at 11 a.m. Dress in your Everyday People gear and bring your good vibes. Build new friendships, show your spirit and embrace community. After the parade walk, hang out with fellow walkers at the Pistahan Festival to enjoy some food and culture. The Pistahan Parade & Festival is the region’s premiere showcase of Filipino and Filipino-American arts and culture, with pavilions and stages presenting both traditional and contemporary music, dance, art, crafts, cuisine and artifacts. The two-day event is a celebration of Filipino Community, Culture, and Cuisine.
